Choose Your Nail Wraps: There are many designs of nail wraps available, so start by selecting a style that appeals to you. Consider factors like color, pattern, and finish ( such as glossy or matte )

Gather Your Supplies: Before you begin, make sure you have all the necessary supplies on hand:

• Nail wraps
• Nail polish remover
• Cuticle pusher or an orangewood stick
• Nail file and buffer
• Base coat (optional, as nail strengthener)
• Clear topcoat (optional, for sealing the edges)
• Scissors (for trimming the wraps, if needed)

Prepare Your Nails: Start with clean, dry nails. Remove any old nail polish with a nail polish remover. Use a nail file to shape your nails and gently buff the surface to create a smooth base. Push back your cuticles using a cuticle pusher or orangewood stick. 

Size and Trim the Wraps: Most nail wraps come in various sizes to fit different nail shapes. Choose the wrap that best matches the size of your nail. You can trim the wraps with scissors to better fit your nails if needed.

Apply The Wraps: Remove the clear plastic cover on your nail wraps. Pell the nail wrap from the backing paper and carefully place it onto your nail, starting from the cuticle and pressing outward toward the tip. Smooth out any air bubbles or wrinkles using your fingers or a cuticle pusher.

Trim Excess: Once the wrap is applied, use a nail file to gently file off any excess material at the tip of your nail. This helps create a clean and neat edge.

Allow to Dry: Let your nail wraps dry completely before using your hands for regular activities. This helps ensure that the wraps adhere properly and last longer.

I know you’re excited about your new nail wraps, but before you get wrapped up in applying those beauties, make sure to have a pre-party size check! 

Our manicure nail wraps come in 16 strips in a variety of sizes. Our largest manicure wrap measures 16 mm, and the smallest measures 8 mm. They're approximately 1.15" in / 29.5 mm long. 

Pull out all the wraps and hold each strip against your nail to find the best fit. The perfect wrap should be just right - covering your entire nail bed without overflowing onto your skin or leaving any bare patches.

When In Doubt, Shrink It Out! 

Nail wrap sizing can be tricky, and sometimes, even after pre-sizing, you might find yourself caught between two sizes. Don’t fret! In these situations, always choose the slightly larger size and just shrink it out. It’s much easier to gently file down the sides of a slightly larger wrap for a perfect fit than it is to try and camouflage a shrunken wrap that doesn’t quite cover your whole nail. 

Snip, Snip, Hooray!

When you find yourself in a situation where you need to choose slightly larger wraps that require some trimming, here are some methods to ensure your nail wraps perfectly fit your natural nails. 

Method 1: Measuring with Tape

1. Preparation: Gather a piece of tape, a pen, and your nail wraps.  

2. Measure Your Nail: Apply a small piece of tape directly onto your clean, dry nail. Press down gently to ensure good adhesion. 

3. Trace and Transfer: Using a fine-tipped pen, carefully trace the outline of your nail onto the tape. Remove the tape from your nail and stick it onto the back of the corresponding nail wrap.

4. Precise Trimming: With sharp nail clippers or manicure scissors, follow the traced outline on the tape to cut the wrap. 

Note: Be cautious not to remove too much, especially near the tip, to prevent compromising the design.

Method 2: Direct Comparison and Trimming

1. Preparation: Have your nail clippers, or manicure scissors, nail file, and nail wraps ready.

2. Visualize the Fit: Carefully line up the nail wrap with your clean, dry nail. 

3. Start Small: It’s crucial to begin by only trimming a small portion of the wrap. It’s easier to remove more later than to try and fix an overly trimmed wrap. 

4. Cut and File: Using sharp scissors or clippers, make clean, straight cuts across the excess width of the wrap. Afterward, gently file any rough edges with a fine-grit nail file for a smooth finish. 

Additional Tips:

- Regardless of the method you choose, always err on the side of caution when trimming. You can always remove a little more, but you can’t add back what’s been cut!

- If you have concerns about ruining the design at the tip, prioritize a clean cut along the sides and use the filing technique to refine the edge at the tip. 

- Remember, practice makes perfect! The more you trim nail wraps, the more comfortable and confident you’ll become in achieving the perfect fit.

Maximizing Longevity and Style

What you’ll need:

• Warm water and lemon juice or warm (not hot!) Coconut Oil
• A small bowl
• Cuticle pusher

The steps:

1. Put a small amount of warm water & lemon or coconut oil in a bowl.

2. Soak your nails for a few minutes in the liquid.

3. When the bond between your nail and the wrap starts to break, use your cuticle pusher to edge the wrap up from the side of the nail (remember to direct the pusher away from your nail bed!)

4. The wrap should edge off easily. If any residue is left on your nail, simply wipe this off with a tissue.

5. Your hands will be lovely and soft, ready for your next wrap application!
